Ocean Beach California
is a small beach community of San Diego and is one of the most relaxed

Ocean
Beach California is located in the community of San Diego, just south
of the Mission Bay channel entrance by Mission Beach. This is a wide
beach approximately one mile long. A volleyball area can be found near
the north end of the beach.

The Ocean Beach Municipal Pier is located at the south end of the beach
and is available to the public for walking and fishing. There is a
restaurant and bait shop on the pier. Fishing from the pier does not
require a fishing license, but catch regulations are enforced.

Numerous restaurants, surf shops, and other commercial establishments
are available near the south end of the beach. The north end of the
beach is primarily bordered by residential homes, apartments, and
estates.
One unique feature of Ocean Beach is Dog Beach, a sandy area at the
north end. This is a dog run area where dogs are permitted without a
leash at all hours of the day. Dog owners are responsible for control
and clean-up of their dogs. Standard dog laws apply on other portions
of Ocean Beach and are strictly enforced. This is a great place to
visit and is one of the only beaches in San Diego where dogs run free
24 hours a day.
The Beautiful and Safe San Diego Beaches
Come visit Ocean Beach and the other surrounding beaches including Mission Beach and Pacific Beach and you will find that these are some of the nicest beaches in San Diego and Southern California.
Ocean Beach and a
tip of South Mission Beach to the right hand side. This is the area
where Mission Bay connects to the Pacific Ocean.

Some of the more popular bars around the beaches include The Beachcomber which is right in the heart of South Mission Beach, and Canes in Mission Beach which is right by the roller coaster in Belmont Park. Belmont Park
is also a great San Diego attraction and place to visit with nothing
but beautiful Mission Bay and Mission Beach surrounding the entire
area. Take a look when it is time to decide what to do your next time
out on the town. SeaWorld San Diego is also only about 8 blocks away located on Mission Bay and is a perfect fit for a great day of fun. When you are in San Diego Old Town
with all the historical early settlements and shops is a must. It is
loaded with great restaurants and all the same Old Town buildings from
its early days as San Diego's first setlement. In addition Balboa Park
is also a must visit with its wide array of beautiful flower gardens,
water fountains, and over 15 art, science, and history museums.
